“MY CLAN OF BARS…”: ON THE PROBLEM OF SOCIAL TERMINOLOGY IN OLD TURKIC RUNIC WRITING MONUMENTS OF THE YENISEI VALLEY
Tishin V. V.
The article analyses one fragment of the Old Turkic inscription Altïn-Köl I (Ye 28) found in Khakassia in which the author, following W. Radloff and A. N. Bernštam, finds the term with the sense ‘clan, origin, kin’ in the argued phonetic form täk. For the reconstruction an additional linguistic data was used as well as the context of the phrase was reasoned by attracting materials from other Old Turkic runic writing monuments of the Yenisei River valley.
