A MONGOLIAN INSCRIPTION FROM URKOSH IN THE ALTAI MOUNTAINS

The author suggests a new interpretation of the inscription written in Uighur-Mongolian script, recently found in a place called Urkosh, in the Altai Mountains, previously identified as ‘Turkish’. But upon the examination, the inscription was identified as Mongolic and must be dated by period between 1291 and the mid-15th-century.
