SEVERAL WORDS FROM OLD TURKIC TITULATURE (ON THE PROBLEM OF THE FINAL -N IN THE NOMINAL STEMS IN ONE
OF THE OLD TURKIC DIALECTS)
Tishin V. V.
The article draws attention to a few words attested in the list of titulature known from Chinese written sources, which existed among the Türk tribe (Chinese: Tū-jué 突厥). Four reconstructed words, are *tar(a)ban, *(h)alan, *aŋan, *börin, three of which have obvious analogies in a number of Turkic languages, demonstrate the presence of an inexplicable final -n, which cannot be reliably explained. The author of the article expects to attract a special attention of linguists to the material presented.
