The article analyzes the actual experience of international non-governmental organizations operating within the framework
of UNESCO in the development and strengthening of international cooperation, preservation of the national heritage of the participating countries. The author pays special attention to the activities of the Committee for Museology of Asia and the Pacific (ASPAC) – the regional organization of the Committee for museology of the International Council of Museums.
