The article presents the need to analyze the relationship of economic growth of the territory and its impact on the environment
to achieve sustainable socio-economic development of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.
Considered the indicators of sustainable development that characterize the dynamics of the state of the economic, social and environmental spheres of the territories of the Far Eastern Federal District and Russia. Noted the need to adapt and adjust the system of indicators for each case.
