THE INPUT-OUTPUT MODELS OF THE REGIONAL ANALYSIS AND FORECASTING

The overview of foreign and Russian studies on regional input-output models is given. The main problems that limit the use of the classical model are identified: insufficiency of information support in the preparation of input-output tables, changes in the sectoral classifier, lack of interrelations between information bases for production and final consumption of products. The possibilities and limitations of the SAM model application in analytical and forecast calculations of regional development are described. The brief description of the input-output modeling carried out at the Buryat Science Center of the SB RAS is given.
