VIRTUAL RECONSTRUCTIONS OF SIBERIAN FORTS AND TOWNS

For the first time, the article discusses the problems of using virtual reconstructions of buildings of Siberian forts and cities in the formation of the museum space. The analysis of existing and planned digital reconstructions was provided. Criteria for comparing natural and virtual types of reconstructions selected the accuracy of recreating buildings and structures, the possibility of scientific study and use in the museum exhibition, as well as the cost of their creation. It was concluded that, even though material reconstructions have advantages, virtual models can be their adequate alternative.
