MUSEUM COLLECTIONS IN 3D: THE EXPERIENCE OF NOVOSIBIRSK STATE UNIVERSITY

Currently, the technology of three-dimensional scanning and modeling of exhibits is being actively introduced into the Museum business. Over the past few years, the team of authors has carried out a series of works on three-dimensional scanning of exhibits of the IAET SB RAS Museum, exhibits of other museums of the country and petroglyphs of Eurasia. The main results of the work were published in the online gallery (3d.nsu.ru). The article provides an overview of the various methods of three-dimensional scanning, the main characteristics of the created 3D gallery, as well as ways to use the models in archaeological science and Museum business.
