The problems of perception and understanding of the processes of the origin and appearance of life in the traditional worldview of the Mongolian peoples do not lose their relevance. In the context of ideas about life and death, the concept of “vital substance” is of particular importance. This article is devoted to the study of this concept, the definition of its image and localization in the human body.
