THE INDIGENOUS TURKIC POPULATION OF THE ACHINSK DISTRICT IN THE 19TH CENTURY: ETHNIC COMPOSITION AND ALLOCATION

The article deals with an attempt to analyse a field a study on the historical ethnography of the indigenous population of the territory of the modern Achinsk district in Southern Siberia. During the work, census materials of 1897 were drawn, reflecting the tribal-administrative structure of the population of the region, as well as cartographic materials of the 19th century, allowing visualization of its complex ethnic composition. All this, combined with an analysis of ethnonyms, made it possible to trace some stages of the ethnic history of the region, to reveal the historical ties of the population with neighboring territories.
