THE COLLECTION OF MONUMENTS IN OLD-MONGOLIAN SCRIPT IN THE KYAKHTA MUSEUM OF LOCAL LORE OF ACADEMICIAN V. A. OBRUCHEV

Ayusheeva M. V., Chagdurova M. M.

In the Kyakhta museum of local lore named after academician V. A. Obruchev there are more than 500 xylographs and manuscripts in Old Mongolian script. The collection was formed in different ways: through private donations, purposeful purchases of Mongolian-language editions. Part of the monuments escaped destruction during the anti-religious struggle in 1920–30s.
