The article is devoted to the economic diplomacy of post-war Japan, as one of the factors of the rapid growth of the country’s economy in the 1950–60s. The restoration of the post-war Japanese economy urgently required access to the markets for raw materials and the sale of finished products, to advanced technology, which objectively predetermined the expansion of economic expansion. In the 1960s, the main features of Japan’s foreign policy practice were finally formed. The main task of Japanese diplomacy is to ensure the expansion of foreign economic expansion.
