BETWEEN KOLCHAK AND THE SOVIETS: TOWARD THE QUESTION OF THE FINANCIAL ACTIVITIES OF THE IRKUTSK POLITICAL CENTER

For the first time in Siberian historiography the article considers the issues of financial transformations that occurred during a difficult period of transition of power from Kolchak to the left-bourgeois government of the Political Center and, further on, to the first Soviet measures. The swiftness of these processes, which took just a few months in the early 1920, is noted. Special attention is paid to the activities of A. I. Pogrebetsky, who headed the financial Department of the Political Center. The article provides information on the first steps of the newly created Soviet governmental bodies to reform the financial and credit system in the Irkutsk province.
