ANALYSIS OF THE DEMOGRAPHIC SITUATION IN THE REGIONS OF THE SIBERIAN FEDERAL DISTRICT

The article analyzes the demographic situation in the subject regions of the Siberian Federal District. The focus is on the position of the Republic of Buryatia in comparison with other Siberian regions. The author characterizes Siberian regions along the following parameters: population size dynamics, rural and urban population, birth and death rates, natural population increase and migration gain, population makeup according to sex and age, and marriage and divorce rates.
