WORDS AND TRUTH IN THE GELUG PRASANGIKA PHILOSOPHY

Nesterkin S. P., Donets A. M.

In the Gelug school, a concept of language was developed that in many ways is radically different from the philosophy of the language of other schools of Tibetan Buddhism. Its main feature is the theoretical substantiation of the ability to adequately cognize at the conceptual level and express the absolute truth in words. This, in turn, makes possible the direct vision of the absolute truth in yogic contemplation, which  in turn makes it possible to attain the Buddhahood.
